This Interuniversity PhD Programme of the Universities of Vigo and Salamanca contributes to filling a gap in the field of Geotechnologies applied to key sectors such as industry, energy and construction.
Geotechnologies cover different knowledge areas transversally, so that they can become vital components for the technological improvement and market competitiveness. Activities such as creating cartography, positioning systems, quantitative and qualitative verification in the constructions and buildings execution and maintenance, or dimensional control of different industry fields or related to energy are activities of great economic importance which can be greatly improved by this area of knowledge.
